Oban Collective
Working together builds stronger communities
Hope Kitchen is part of the Oban Collective, working alongside the core partners to respond to local needs - to strengthen community wellbeing, sustainability, and opportunity.
The partnership grew from the Connecting Communities Collective project, which was built on the understanding that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts; because by working together, we can better use resources, share learning, and reach more people in our communities.
We believe in collaboration, not competition.
This partnership approach helps us respond more effectively to local needs, develop joint initiatives, and build stronger relationships. This has resulted in our flagship project, Re_Store.
Re_Store – A community shop and space for connection and creativity
Re_Store is more than just a charity shop, opened in 2024 in a prime location on George Street in Oban. It sells preloved clothing, homewares, books and toys, as well as hosting our Rescued Food Project. Re_Store provides space for workshops focused on repair, reuse and upcycling, supports the creative use of donated materials, and acts as a hub for community engagement and collaboration.
It is also a visible space where partner organisations can showcase their work, connect with the public, and take part in shared initiatives that support community wellbeing and environmental action.
Pop in to grab a bargain! Re_Store is open 10am- 4pm Monday – Saturday. Donations welcome up to 2pm.
The Rescued Food Project is open 11am - 1pm Monday – Saturday.
